This past weekend I took Jesci and my two closest friends, Donald and Greg, to play paintball.
Jesci and Donald have never played paintball before; this happened to be their first time and they both had mixed emotions about playing paintball. There was definitely a bit of fear, anxiousness, nervousness, and excitement all mixed in together.
Greg and I have played paintball for many years together. We had a team and played competitively nearly every weekend in my teenage years. We would travel across Pennsylvania and even parts of the Northeast to play in tournaments, but as we grew older, we all eventually drifted away and stopped playing.
Although it had been a while since I have last played paintball, my passion for the game never drifted away. As soon as I put my mask on and went back on the field, it felt like I never left. That feeling came right back. That feeling that I missed. The feeling of pure excitement and happiness. Euphoria.
Time flies when you’re having fun and the entire day was gone in a blink of an eye. We had an amazing time and it was extra special being with Jesci and my two closest friends.
