Hi! Hope everyone is doing well! It’s been a while since I’ve blogged but I’m sure you all enjoyed reading Roman’s latest post about his amazing trip to Israel! What an incredible blessing that his mother, Doni, and himself were able to partake on that spiritual journey together. I’m looking forward to the day that I’ll be able to experience the Holy Land myself!
Recently, Roman and I went down to Florida with both sides of our family! We traveled with his parents and met with my parents and his grandparents in Singer Island, where we stayed the entire time. First off, a big thank you to Roman for planning the whole trip and doing an extensive amount of research. The way Roman executed everything was perfect. So thank you, Roman!
What made this trip even more special was that it was my parents first time meeting Roman’s grandparents so that was very exciting!!!
We stayed at the beautiful and luxurious condo, Ritz Carlton, that’s located right off the beach. Pictures don’t do justice– we highly recommend staying in this place to truly see how elegant and lovely it is in person!

One of the buildings of Ritz Carlton. We stayed on the 25th floor!

With my love!

My parents loving the view!

LOVED the kitchen, especially the stainless appliances!

The kitchen window overlooks the beach

The interior design of the place is beautiful. Loved the wooden and elegant look!

Masters bedroom. Overlooking the beach and has access to the beachfront balcony!

View from the master bedroom! Breathtaking!!
I was not able to take a picture of the other rooms, I must have been deep in “the moment” and forgot to take pictures! Lol however, I was able to take pictures of the movie room and the social room!

Private theatre room
What’s nice about the movie room is you can rent it out and it’s completely private! Unlimited movies and a whole private theatre, what more could you ask for?!

Pool table located in the Social Room
The Social Room included a pool table, a library, and tables to just sit and relax! It was neat to see all the amenities the condo had to offer.

The “infinity” pool overlooking the beach. Our favorite! We swam in this pool almost everyday!

Say cheese, Mark and Doni! 🙂

Nan and Papa Ken relaxing under the shade!

Fun fact: my parents, just like any other Filipinos LOVE to pose for the camera and take lots of pictures! lol

See what I mean? Always posing! Lol
We spent majority of our time relaxing by the pool but we also LOVED being in the water! Roman in particular loved to swim in it– I didn’t want to get my hair wet (such a girl problem lol) so I didn’t go in as much as he did but I know he definitely had a great time!

Good life…More like BLESSED life!

Roman and I did a little bit of walking and ended up at this nice little peaceful spot!

Heading into the water!! Lol

My mom admiring the pretty view!
Being by the beach is always an amazing feeling. It’s peaceful, relaxing, and pure bliss.
One of my favorite bible verse is from Psalm 36:5-7 NIV
“Your love, Lord, reaches to the heavens,
your faithfulness to the skies.
Your righteousness is like the highest mountains,
your justice like the great deep.
You, Lord, preserve both people and animals.
How priceless is your unfailing love, O God!
People take refuge in the shadow of your wings.”
The ocean will always be a reminder to me of God’s unfailing and unconditional love for us. How blessed are we to have such a loving God!
Everything about the trip was such a blessing. One of the main highlights though is simply being with our families, all together, just enjoying each others presence and having a great time! And in Florida!!! From California, to Northeast Pennsylvania, New Jersey— we were all able to be in Florida all together. Family time is the best time! God truly blessed Roman and I with such loving families and for that, we are forever grateful! Here are some of my favorite pictures with them!

Beautiful Doni!
SO. MUCH. MORE. PICTURES and that’s just a small gist of it from our one week trip! lol
Knowing Roman and how he LOVES to plan our trips, he already had it all planned out that we were definitely going to see a basketball game in Miami and as always, he kept his word and we were all able to go watch the Rockets vs Heats! It was a great game and it was my first time being in Miami, as well as my parents, so it was an awesome experience!

Roman got us GREAT seats! Thanks my mahal!

So excited! lol

Selfie with my love, of course!

We were so close!!

Hey, AllStar!
The next day, my aunt from the Philippines messaged me and told me that she saw Roman and I on TV! Lol what are the odds! She sent us this picture and it was so cool to see!

A little blurry but yep, that’s us!
I looked up the Instagram of Houston Rocket’s the next day and saw us again!! Lol
In addition to Roman’s list of “must see in Miami”, he took us to this AMAZING and AUTHENTIC Cuban restaurant! He first heard of it while watching the travel channel sometime last year and it was exciting to finally try the place and see what the hype was all about. Everything was delicious!!!

Group selfie!
Hopefully in the near future, we’ll be having Cuban food in Cuba! It was so yummy!
And speaking of yummy, we literally had the BEST steak of our lives at the Flagler’s Steakhouse. I am not exaggerating when I say it is the best filet mignon that I have ever had in my 23 years of life and I think it’s safe to say I speak for everyone else as well. I can’t get over how mouthwatering and enticing the food were!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Hello my handsome!

Excited to try the Filet!

Everyone was stuffed and happy! lol
Although my parents were only able to join us for a few days, we were blessed and thankful that they were granted the time off from work and was able to come and spend time with us all!
Upon the day of their departure, was the arrival of Billy, Mitch, Gloria, and Dave!! It was a sad goodbye to my parents but a happy welcoming to our family friends! We went out to dinner to a nice pizza place the night they arrived and it was a nice little Giant Floor reunion in Florida!

Billy has been with Giant for over 50 years and Mitch is on his 25th year!! That’s dedication!!

Giant Floor Crew!
We had a great time spending quality time with everyone! Roman’s grandfather took us out deep sea fishing the next morning. It was my first time and oh my goodness, it was so fun!!!

Fishing boat!

Grandpa with grandson 🙂

Excited to catch some fish!

All smiles before departing out to the deep sea!

Watched them filet the fish!

Look how pretty the water was!
There were actually pretty big waves and 90% of the people on the boat, including myself, were seasick! BUT despite the 5 ft waves, I caught a fish!!!! Lol I was so excited!!!

How cool! My first catch–ever!!!
Billy and Mitch caught some fish as well so they brought it back to the condo and grilled it! I’m sure it tasted fresh! lol
We all had such a wonderful time and can’t wait to do it again!!
We spent the last few days in Florida just relaxing and having a cookout right by the pool, swimming in the beach, and having dinner cooked in the condo!

Deep talks in the jacuzzi

Can never get tired waking up to this view!
Thankful for all the great and new experiences and being with amazing company during our trip. It went by so quick, but words can’t express how much fun we all had!!
God is so good for making it all happen!
And Roman,
THANK YOU! Thank you for all the long hours you put in planning and making sure everything was perfect. All your hard work and effort are very much appreciated.
Mahal Kita, Roman Marcus!
